Just as I predicted a few weeks ago, Barnier could be sidelined and the leaders of the 27 step in to try and rescue the utter shambles the EU office boy has created. Like I said, in order to make progress, you need to get rid of Barnier.

Barnier himself asked to have the negotiations taken over by political leaders. Turns out they had more important business to attend to than a stubborn third country.
