Stolen puppies

I know what I would like to do to these nasty pigs.

Re: Stolen puppies

Horrendous.
What is the matter with people ?
It would seem they have no feelings at all.
This is getting so common .
Everyday on Facebook are stories of stolen pets .
People begging for people to share so the word gets about .
These poor people worrying about their pet who is probaby not being treated well being only a commodity to be sold on .
Every dog should IMO have paper ID and proof of ownership .
The police have opted out of all this so what can people do but turn to Social media and hope for the best .

The pups have been recovered and a man is in custody charged with aggravated burglary.

Maybe the puppies hadn't yet been. They were only five weeks old.

Re: Stolen puppies

I don't know what the rest of you think, but I feel that people are becoming less caring and more violent all the time!

Is it because people want more and are prepared to do anything to get it?

Is it because many people place little value on life, be it human or animal?

Or is it that we no longer have sufficient money, or ability, to punish them harshly enough ?

I can't see this changing, and hope that I won't still be here when there is no law and violence will be the only way to survive!

I hope this mother & her pups survive the trauma & go to good homes!

Judd, That is wonderful news. It has really cheered me.
Will Zena their mother accept them back, or could she reject them?

The puppies catch up on some sleep after their ordeal

Probably not for long .....

Zena was injured with a machete while trying to defend her puppies

Poor Zena ..... scarred for life .....

Re: Stolen puppies

There has been a lot about these crimes for a long time, in my dog magazine.

They are saying the reason why these crimes are so rapidly on the increase, is the penalties are so puny and rarely enforced anyway.

The trouble is, with the huge rise in prices of pedigree puppies now, it is well worth the risk for thieves. A litter of say, 10, at £2,000 or more a piece is not to be sniffed at, especially as even if they are caught later, a suspended sentence or a month in jail is still well worth it.

They will also steal dogs to flog to puppy farms, and others for bait for fighting dogs, as well as litters of puppies to flog.

Have a look at one of the articles in 'Dogs Today' magazine.
It even lists the most popular dogs thieves are after.
Yet I still see people leaving them outside shops and sitting alone in cars!!
