I used to be able to do this .
But now I on my new windows computer I have no idea .
is there an easy way?
If you want something simple and free it is hard to go past Google's Picasa 3. Google has abandoned it but it is still available. It actually makes very good collages in many styles from any number of images.
I've mentioned Xara Photo & Graphic Designer before but nobody takes notice of me because it isn't free. However, the versatility of this program make it worth the £36-00 price in my opinion.
I eventually upgraded to Xara Designer ProX but quite honestly, there isn't so much difference between this and Xara Photo & Graphic Designer for general purposes.
It is capable of doing lots other than just creating a collage. It does most operations on a single layer too. This makes shifting images around quite a bit easier not only for collages but also other image manipulations as well. Here's a collage done with it.
I know other programs can do this but I find Xara the best all-round program to use for most things.
The trial can be extended to thirty days if you register the product but then I suppose you'd start getting e-mails from Xara encouraging purchase if you were to do that.
Seven days is probably enough to discover a few things about the program and decide whether you like it or not.
