Saturday Dinner.

Following on from the 'Good Morning' thread.....
This is my Saturday Dinner, Maris Piper Mashed Potatoes (mashed to within an inch of their miserable lives) Savoy Cabbage, Welsh Leeks, and Tesco's finest loose carrots, and the star of the show.....A ginsters Cornish Pasty.... Awesome!
All smothered in a delicious thick gravy (not shown) made from Tesco Vegetable Gravy Granules. I prefer these vege ones to the beef granules which seem to upset my stomach.

I prefer to call it 'Dinner' because where I come from, dinner is eaten at the middle of the day and not at the end, like the posh people do....

It was delicious, now to settle down with 'Goodbye Mr Chips' (it always makes me cry..) and a hot steaming mug of Yorkshire Tea, accompanied by a Penguin Chocolate Biscuit....Mrs Fox is standing by to wash the dishes.... It doesn't get much better than this....

Re: Saturday Dinner.

OGF,

We also have our main dinner at lunch time.
We had the Ginsters Cornish Pasty yesterday for dinner, they are lovely and peppery.

Re: Saturday Dinner.

We went to Tesco this morning, bought one of these on impulse, had it for lunch, after 30 mins in the oven. It was better than expected, with lots of ketchup. Nothing more, no veg, except we always have lots of fruit at lunchtime: banana, pear, satsuma & Kefir

Re: Saturday Dinner.

That bought pie is a definite no no from me.it spoils the look of the plate.plus the Ginsters pasty’s I have had yrs back, were more pastry, and a tiny amount of meat, that’s if you can call it meat.potato etc.

Re: Saturday Dinner.

I used to sometimes buy a Ginster for lunch when I worked from home & Ms d00d was out working. But I'd get the chicken & mushroom.

Foxy, you should try one of those half kilo beef & ale jobs for £3.
