Simpler and easier for them and the main impact is on te UK.
The ferries cannot sail here.
It is decades since I was working the East Coast Ports, but the effect is the same.
Paid for sitting around when nothing was coming in and the vast amounts of overtime paid to catch up.
I did not waste my time when nothing was arriving, a great chance to fish the berths.
Ipswich was mullet flounder and sole.
Felixstowe was sole and bass, cod in the winter.

Is now a good time to remind you that the EU exports far, far more into us here in the UK than we export to them?
Do you think that all these EU-based exporters are going to be pleased with the French for denying them access to the UK - and possibly for causing their produce to become unsaleable in the process?
The French might well be stupid enough to blockade ports.
If they do they will face the wrath of both the EU and the UK, as well as gaining what will undoubtedly become huge fines for their obstruction.

Even better, trade outside the EU and grow our own produce. The EU is a declining market anyway
