That looks lovely Bruce, how nice to pick your own fresh lemon!

seeing them reminds me of the 5* hotel long entrance drive in Tunisia we went for our honeymoon. ones side had lemon trees and orange trees on the other. How we could afford it is another story

They are really good this year for some reason, absolutely full of juice. I squeezed one yesterday for a couple of pancakes and had enough juice over to make a hot lemon drink and store the same again in the fridge.

The cumquots are the same - large and juicy, I have already dumped two bin fulls in the rubbish because I still have jam left from last year. Such a waste

HaHa ... took a shot of an approaching tube train, maybe the auto focus refused to work in the dark, ended up with this. Perhaps I'll start a new trend in the out-of-focus. I quite like this pic, gave it a slight anti clockwise rotate.

Re: What have you done with your camera today

tricky shot to get even in daylight. the problem is do you pan on the train as it approaches, then the station platform is out of focus. Or have the platform in focus and the train out of focus.
To add to that the light conditions in the station isn't the best. don't think even a shutter speed of 1/8000 sec would not be much help to "freeze" the movement
I even had problems with the same kind of shot with the Bullet train in Japan and that was in daylight.

Had an idea might be worth trying. Make a video of it then extract a frame from the video for the picture.

Had a go at mine to see the result, far from perfect but better than nothing

I was tempted to go all 'Countryfile' and transplant a Garden Spider into a photogenic setting ( Joke on previous Countryfile Phot Comp winners)
