Age Differrences

Anyone see the programme on Channel 5 Tuesday night about couples with huge age differences?
For example there was a lady of 78 married to a chap of 39, and another couple where the woman was I believe late 40's when she met a lad of just 16 and they got married too. There were many more couples the same.
I'm sorry, but I would worry a great deal if my son (45) wanted to marry a lady 40 years older than him, no matter how nice a person she was.
What do you think of such vast age differences?

Did you notice though that all of the young men have some form of health problem.

Yes I know what you mean Myrtle. I couldn't believe the blonde woman who did all the exercises, wanting another boob job either!

I also think she has had work done on her face - especially under her eyes - stretched so much it looked awful.

Silly woman wanting even bigger boobs !

It is not that unusual.

It would probably 'feel' weird at first, but I guess it's about the couple. As long as they feel happy in/with the situation. My grandmother on my mother's side was my grandfather's senior by 11 years. I never thought it weird, but then again, I only got to know them as 'old people' People around them might've thought differently when they got married.

I am eight years younger than my wife but it has never been an issue. We met in our thirties and she used to joke about having a toy boy in fact she still does, the irony being that she now looks ten years younger than me...

I said in another thread the other day different people look for different things in a marriage, some just want looking after and (didn't watch the show) I would guess there is a certain amount of that going on in these relationships.
