Where is Dido Harding ..... ?

Although she was dumped a month ago as Head of (the disastrous) Test & Trace (where she kept a very low profile), Harding still retains her position as Chair of NHS Improvement (amongst other sinecures) but she has disappeared from public view altogether.

I suppose, now that the horse-racing is about to go "public", Harding will be "busy" on the Jockey Club board .....

Currently all horseracing fixtures in England must take place behind closed doors and without spectators.

However, on February 22nd 2021 the Government announced plans to help the country out of its National Lockdown. As part of these plans racing fixtures staged from May 17th 2021 will be able to welcome up to 4,000 spectators, if the Government’s tests are met for moving into Phase 3 of lifting lockdown restrictions. Similarly, if the Government’s tests and criteria are met, then indoor conferences and events of up to 1,000 people will also be possible from May 17th. The Government will provide further guidance nearer the time.

The Government also announced that events staged from June 21st 2021 will be able to operate at pre-pandemic capacities, if the Government’s tests are met for moving into Phase 4 of lifting lockdown restrictions.

Former Test and Trace boss and Tory peer Baroness Dido Harding applies for NHS top job

https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-...p-job-12335075

Conservative peer Baroness Dido Harding, who is the wife of Tory MP John Penrose, formally entered the running to become the top boss of England's healthcare system on Thursday.

The announcement was made on a biography on the NHS England website which added that Baroness Harding has stood aside from her position as chair of NHS Improvement, which she took up in October 2017, while recruitment is under way.

If successful in her bid, she will replace current NHS England chief executive Sir Simon Stevens, who is due to stand down at the end of July.

Sir Simon has been head of the NHS in England since 2014 and will take a seat in the House of Lords alongside Baroness Harding when he steps down.

According to the 2019/20 NHS England, his salary is listed as between £195,000 and £200,000.
The historically incompetent Harding will, probably, be successful in her "application" .....

Dido Harding unlikely to ‘get the nod’ to run NHS England

https://www.ft.com/content/8ddd5929-...c-2476d660b17e

Baroness Dido Harding’s chances of becoming the next head of NHS England have sharply diminished following Matt Hancock’s resignation as UK health secretary for breaching Covid-19 rules, according to several senior government officials.

Amanda Pritchard, the health service’s chief operating officer, is seen as a frontrunner if Boris Johnson opts for an experienced continuity candidate. The prime minister and Sajid Javid, the new health secretary, have a veto on the successor to Sir Simon Stevens, who is due to step down on July 30.

Harding, regarded in Whitehall as a close ally of Hancock, has seen her reputation badly tarnished during her time heading NHS Test & Trace, damned by the independent National Audit Office as having failed to make “a measurable difference” to the spread of the pandemic last year.*
Javid won't want the Hancock favourite and BJ won't want an early fall-out with his Secretary of State for Health and Social Care so, hopefully, Harding will fall back on her banking and horse-racing .....

Are you optimistic about getting away with that, Cinders?

Being incompetent in running the NHS is a prerequisite.

The current chief operating officer of the NHS has leapfrogged Tory peer Dido Harding in the race to run the health service.

Well-placed sources say Amanda Pritchard is now the frontrunner to succeed Sir Simon Stevens in the role of chief executive.

One insider described her as 'very highly rated' and said a 'two-horse race' between her and Baroness Harding has now just left her in the running.

Ms Pritchard, previously chief executive of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust, is said to have impressed Ministers as efficient and highly capable. *

The decision is expected shortly as Sir Simon has ruled out staying in the job beyond the end of July after his seven-year tenure.
* The complete opposite of Harding, then .....

It doesn't matter who is in charge of the NHS, it can never be changed and it will always be utterly useless.

Until the left can have a grown up conversation about reforming it without throwing their toys out of the pram and screaming and shouting it will always be like this.

The socialised health service costs £139 billion a year in operating costs and gets overwhelmed at 40% capacity. Meanwhile people like you clap your hands and bang pots and pans because you think this is brilliant.

it isn't - and the 300,000 law suits for malpractice against it shows it. At some point you will need to accept that you are part of the problem and the reason it under achieves and is way behind the rest of the world when it comes to performance.

Keep banging your pots and pans Omah, every time you do your celebrating failure. In the meantime, the doctors are clocking off at lunch time from their NHS duties and then boosting their salary in the private sector after being given £££££ worth of training for free courtesy of the tax payer.
