Barnier non event today??

Barnier had next to nothing to say today in his press statement!
I'm not sure why he bothered to call it at all?
Mostly he was complaining about the fact that he was conned
into signing a non binding withdrawel agreement when he thought
it was binding?
What does he think aspirational means?
I remember the words ' we agree to aspire to the following
objectives' etc! etc being bandied about at the time?
Perhaps speaking french is an excuse but he obviously made a
big mistake, he should have requested MORE CLARITY??

Donkeyman! 👍😇👍

Donks, it's the WA that IS legally binding, the PA isn't.

Mr Farage praised the UK’s negotiator for how he had stood up to his counterpart. “But a star should be awarded to David Frost.”
High praise.

The EU will be regretting using office boy barnier to lead their negotiations

We should be talking directly to elected leaders not glorified civil servants who have no accountability to the public.

I bet he gets sidelined soon, he is a disaster for EU businesses and public confidence in the EU Project

You're quite right, the political declaration is a gentleman's agreement. So it will take a gentleman to honour it. That excludes a lot of the present's UK government, and not only the women.

Only some in the UK's government regretted they had to confront barnier. Or have you forgotten about the equivalent alternatives for the backstop boris had to deliver to get a withdrawal agreement?

Officialy yes. But since boris has lied to north irish businesses about the checks on goods, they now claim not to be ready by 31 december.
Since boris is not a real leader, he misses the chance to get a trade deal, and the UK is nearing the cliff edge. But no worries, boris will tell you another fairy tale before you all go to sleep again.
