We never asked for special favours over the past 40 years or so we have given a lot more than we took.

The EU is 27 third countries to the UK too. Just remember that.

Brexit in 2020 was on course to cost the UK more than its combined total of payments to the European Union budget over the past 47 years, Bloomberg Economics found.
Bloomberg said the cost of the UK’s vote to leave the EU had already reached £130 billion.

It's worth it 100% to get free of the EU.

I would agree with you for 100% if only leave voters had to pay the price. But you make others suffer too, which makes it unfair.

Suffering in what way? When we left our economy out stripped the EU and our unemployment was the lowest for about 70 years.

Stop making things up

We only left just before midnight 31 December 2020. Up to that point we were in the transition period and under EU rules and regulations in the period you are referring to.

The transition period was also temporary.

It was part of the 47 year long period of membership. You boast about leaving in excellent economic shape, but forget you came in as the poor man of europe (like many of recent members you now scoff about). You have much to be grateful for to the EU.

We aren't grateful to the EU for anything - it didn't exist when we joined. It was a common market.

The UK economy was destroyed through socialism. It's an ideology of failure, evangelised by people like you don't do history properly.

Do your history Solasch.
