If you're as popular as Boris you're going to be asked to do these things.
Again: IMHO it's another lose/lose situation.
Pilloried if he doesn't comply with requests and pilloried if he does.

BTW I'm not a fan of Boris.
Neither am I a fan of bilious hatred.

That photo made me laugh though. Either Boris is trying to look mean and moody, or he has already had more than enough to drink!

Zaphod - I have no problem with him standing with people, but he should really be leading by example and doing the distancing thing with a mask on. You know what folk are like "Boris didn't do it, so why should I?"

I don't think the left should be having a go at Boris considering Sir Kier Starmers treatment in Bath the other day when he was thrown out of a pub and humiliated in front of the media.

Can't wait for the next time

I get that, really I do.
But go on: if Boris said "no" tp these photo's what would the same papers be screeching instead?
"Boris snubs his public"?
He couldn't win no matter wghat IMHO.
Whichever way, the haters are going to hate.

And nobody pays attention anyway - look at the huge crowds outside football stadiums in the last few days.
Is that Boris's fault too?

No Zaphod, not at all!! I would fully expect Boris to be accessible to the public if that's what they want. I think its lovely that he he actually willing to mingle.

I just want him to do it with a mask on, and social distancing like his own law says he should!

I think you missed the point .............. nobody wants a photo with a mask.
Just like you wouldn't want a photo standing at the pyramids in the pitch-black or with your favourite celeb if you couldn't distinguish who they actually are.

I do understand though & TBH in general I would agree.
In some instances however it is illogical and/or impractical and the reactions can become unnecessarily hatered-fuelled.
BTW, it isn't Boris's law you know.

Its the law, and applies to Boris as much as anyone else. And maybe I'm weird, but I don't hold celebs/famous people in any high regard that I would want a photo with them anyway, but for those that do....everyone should do the right thing. I just believe he is setting a bad example for the ones who don't really need any more excuses.
