Today would have been my 34th wedding anniversary. This song was popular all over the island of Ibiza where we went for our honeymoon. It was a time when fashionable young men (posers ) used to wear large collared shirts and jackets with the sleeves rolled up as made popular by Tubbs and Crockett in Miami Vice cop series. Not me I hasten to add, I was too much of a `Hippie`
Also popular was Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood - we used to joke that this was `our song`.
Certainly got that Eighties Vibe, never heard the first but big fan of Frankie.
Music certainly holds many memories for me.
There was another song we used to dance to and although I've been trying to track it down all these years haven't had any success. I can hum the chorus in my head to this day but it was by either an Italian or Spanish singer so can't track down the lyrics.
I didn't think I was an eighties man, but, amongst that lot, Miami Sound Machine, Laura Branigan, Queen, OMD, UB40, Sade, Aztec Camera, Tina Turner, Pointer Sisters, Flock of Seagulls, Tears for Fears, Special AKA, Alison Moyet and Judie Tzuke are still on my playlists .....

Thanks for the suggestions folks but none of them are the right ones. And Joe, the collected works of the communist party weren't in vogue in 1980s Ibiza.
I was on afternoon shift when I first heard Two Tribes, about 9.45pm, I was about to check the 2-10 shift production figures, but had to stop and listen.
