There was a news item, this morning, which said that the UK has the lowest level of unemployment since 1975.

That goes against what many are suggesting!

Indeed it isn't.

Marge and I both took our skills to Saudi Arabia, purely for their benefit of course.

Well, actually no. We did it for the money!

Which is why employers are finding it difficult to fill vacancies

It's not right tho'.

We are doing our citizens a disservice and letting employers get foreigners in cheaply instead of investing in British workers and communities and that's why they voted for Brexit.

Funny that you knew one of the main reasons all along but didn't join the dots.

I cannot see why we have to leave the EU in order to invest in British workers? Companies will just get other cheap non EU foreigners in. Many of the hotel/restaurant staff and office cleaners I've seen aren't EU citizens anyway.

Nobody seems to have a handle on what's going on and their solution is to try to wipe out businesses. So they are saying "pay workers more", but everyone knows that means higher prices so the wage increases end up meaning nothing.

Even after all these years nobody seems to get how that works....you don't get something for nothing and it all catches up with you in the end so nothing really changes unless you inject cheap foreign labour.
