Re: Bad chest conjestion.

I'm on 6 tablets a day (30mg). The psychiatrist said that was the maximum they ever give people as above this they can cause permanent cognitive impairment.

This is the beginning of the 2md day on these meds.

have been taking Combivent* Respimat as an inhalation thearpy every. 6 hrs.

doing hot salt water with vapo rub as an inhaler.

1 to 2 tabets of clonaxepam/day. 1 mg/tab. Does not work at all. Anti-panic med. It used to work, but no longer.

deep breathing, (without meds )does no good at all.

I suspect the Drs know exactly what is wrong with me , but do not want to tell me that I am dying., because I am old.

within the last 12 days: mild heart attack, bad chest congestion and clusters of panic attacks.

In addition to undiagnosable chronic diarrhea X 7 years
I do hope you are wrong about thinking you are dying.

You have lots of support on this forum.
Try and focus on positive things, my lovely friend.
A panic alarm would not work in Mexico. NO U.S. ambulance would ever cross the border., even though I'm only 5 miles in.

I don't wish to act like self pity but I am still in love with my ex-wife. After 26 years, can you imagine anything so stupid? Oh yeah, sure, I dated and lived with many other women but no other woman even comes close. Now it's way too late. Oh well, you pay your money and take your chances. I lost. You would think I'd have gotten over that by now. Shows you how stupid I am.

I don't know what, if anything, that has to do with the panic attacks ,but it is surely stressful, 'cause I think of her daily.

Re: Bad chest conjestion.

I can empathise with the panic attacks - I've suffered from them intermittently since I was 19, 33 years ago.

Deep breathing helps as can the knowledge that they in them selves are harmless but nasty. This is a really worthwhile video to watch.

i'm not so sure about the harmless part. When your heart is pounding so fast that you can not count the beats /minute , a heart attack is always a possibility, especially at my age with 2 previous heat attacks.

How does it feel ? Imagine a huge, strong man has his hands clamped over your nose and mouth. It feels like you are dying right now. damn frightening ! The mind believes you ARE dying. horrible !

Add badly congested lungs A freakin' nightmare.

Ask yourself do you really need so much .That really is a lot if you feel they’re not doing anything . . Not that I’m criticising you understand .
Or are you simply taking them out of habit ?
Try fooling your body one day ,be doing something else and miss the middle dose .

Yes, today I'm just taking 5 tablets, 1 less. It was my G.P. who prescribed them. Initially I would feel the effect of just 10mg but gradually became accustomed to them.

I can sympathise; I don't think I've had a panic attack whilst also having badly congested lungs, and your heart condition will make everything worse.

I do hope you get better soon, though.

I can understand that Bakerman, my Father never got over the divorce. He remarried BUT his heart belonged to my Mother. He loved her till the day he died.

I meant a personal Panic alarm btw. To alert your neighbours.
