Not a lie. The leave campaign are asserting that we pay the EU £350 million per week, which is true. They also admit that we get roughly half of that back, but on condition that we spend it as they dictate.

If we vote to leave we shall have that money to spend as we deem most suitable, not what foreigners tell us to do.

The remain campaign bleat about misrepresentation and insist that we do not pay the EU £350 million per week, but then immediately fail to mention that we do effectively lose half of that figure for absolutely nothing.

The EU is our only ally. Far from bringing independence, Brexit will leave us with no defences against shoddy and dangerous imports, without rules and standards of quality or safety. You complain about rules and regulations but they keep us safe in the knowledge that what we buy is not contaminated or dangerously faulty. Would you buy your food from the internet? Without controls we would never know where our goods are coming from or what they contained.

As for this stupid idea of immigrants must have qualifications. Whose going to pick our strawberries, plant our potatoes, clean our hospitals, hotels, stores and warehouses? You Brexiters?
Probably instigated and encouraged by currency speculators who will buy the pound while it's cheap and sell it again when the currency gains strength after Brexit.

Re: Getting ready for Brexit.

It's almost incredible what so many people believe. The trouble is their blind obedience to right wing propaganda will affect all our lives and those of our children for decades to come.

How on earth can leaving the EU stop foreigners coming here? We're not even signed up to the Schengen agreement for open borders. We control our own borders now, so once France opens the Calais border control we will have to do a Trump and build a wall down the East coast to keep them out.

Re: Getting ready for Brexit.

Hi

There is absolutely nothing we can do about the value of the £, it is decided by the International Currency Markets.

The Bank of England told the Select Committee that it has built up £67 billion to smooth the markets if necessary, I hope they don't use it.

When you owe as much money as we do, you are in the hands of the money lenders, who will do what they think will make them most money.

It is they who will decide whether the £ goes up or down, not us.

Today they are selling the £, trade volumes are up 60% on yesterday.

Who knows what will happen, I certainly don't.
