Re: Brexit referendum, have you changed your mind?

I voted Leave and would do so over and over again if it were possible.

Friends knew my feelings and several of them who voted Remain have admitted to me that they really wished they had voted Leave but didn't feel "brave enough". I think if all the people who were too afraid to go with how they really felt and all those who chose not to vote at all because they thought Remain would win as the polls suggested, then the Leave vote would have been massive.

Have I changed my mind ? No just wish we had the chance to vote out years ago and that we were nearer end of the mess by now.

Would I change my vote? No
There has been an awful lot of material proposing an opposing view. But none of the points laboured addressed my concerns.

Just one minor issue.
Over the last few years, there has been many thousands of pieces of legislation from the EU. Far too many to be debated properly without totally clogging parliamentary process.
So this mountain of legislation is simply pretty much just rubber stamped.
Now comes the rub. The often heard cry of "it's not our fault. It's EU regulations". Will no longer be a valid excuse for lazy government.

Precisely why I want out ...... no more 'it's the eu ' ..... we can't do this or we must do that because the eu says so whilst career politicians sit easy just taking the £££££ salary .
The moment brexit starts ,the flag drops and the bullshit stops .....they are elected to serve the people so I'm hoping they either shape up or ship out

Re: Brexit referendum, have you changed your mind?

People have lost faith in the EU bureaucrats. And there are demands for referenda on this matter in other EU countries, too.

And what about those EU governments who ordered another referendum when their electorate voted against their wishes?

Beware that, those claiming to be speaking on your behalf, are motivated by their own agendas and are manipulating the debates to swing things round to their way of thinking.

Extremely clever, those political agitators. Of whichever political persuasion...

Voted Leave, would 100% still vote Leave but would object to any 2nd referendum
