Re: Could you eat a

I would try it without a moment's hesitation.

If it tasted good, I would wolf it down -
as I would cat, dog or Pom !

All protein.

I am a meat eater. Not a lot, but I do still eat meat.
However, the key to me is as cranberry has just said - "nit anything that looks what it is." I know that would put me off straightaway. I can't even have the head left on cooked fish, like Trout.

Ive never tried a rodent although water rabbit (rat) is served in Belgium..

Re: Could you eat a

I would prefer not to eat one, I think anything we treat as a pet would be difficult to consider food. Its funny though as I'm on a diet right now and a pal mentioned that every pound lost is the equivalent of an average Guinea pig, So far I have lost nine Guinea pigs

Re: Could you eat a

I couldn't bring myself to eat a Guinea pig. I remember seeing numerous baby Guinea pigs in large containers at a bird and snake sanctuary in Malindi. The babies were adorable, but when I found out why they had them I'm afraid I got really upset. The Eagles and snakes have to be fed on live food, hence the baby Guinea pigs. I know, I know, it's how it must be, but those babies were just so cute.

Whilst it would not be my meat of choice I suppose I could eat anything if hungry enough. Cats were eaten in my home island towards the end of WW2 before it was liberated.
