Voting ban for those over retirement age

A point of view from a younger voter.

Referendum result will have less effect on pensioners.
They can have their driving licences revoked, when deemed unfit to drive, this is just an extension.

Future should determined by allowing the voting age to be lowered without the imposition of those living in the past.

Fair points, gives an insight into changes that might happen in due course.

It also follows then that the youngsters should relinquish their right to inheritance, and have same paid into a fund to save the planet.

As younger generation get into politics can see this might become a consideration. Could it be stopped if they believed it a way to keep them in government?

Unfortunately, the young are under the impression that they get what they vote for (as I was at that age) but you soon learn that it makes no difference who or what you vote for. It's all just a game with free lunches thrown in.

younger people still have trouble finding their backsides let alone where a country is. It is only with having to live for a reasonable length of time can one make a decision based on experience. They should bring voting age back up to 21 yrs old same as we had to wait

Quite right.

These young snowflakes seem to forget that they, too, will become old!

They're a bit thick like that.

Hi

I wish them the best of luck in changing the system.

Our Generation has totally failed to do so, we have a two Party system where both just lie to us, don't deliver on their promises and more importantly, when we have a Referendum don't do what we voted for.

They should think themselves lucky, if it weren't for all our hard work they would still be up Chimneys, and more "Sooties" than Snowflakes.

Quite so.

A bit of good news today: seven Labour MPs have resigned their membership of the Loony Party.

I sincerely hope that this will become normality, and we see other MPs resigning their membership from both main parties.

We need a combined 'Democratic Pro-British Party' - the DPB..
