Garlic

I like Garlic in small doses, say as in a slice of Garlic Bread. but im not keen on large amounts to the degree that next day your pores leak the garlic odour.

Re: Garlic

Braver than me Pauline, ever use our own Ransoms Garlic which adds a heady scent to our springtime woodlands.

Re: Garlic

I love garlic and grow about 22 'heads' a year .
It goes in soup/stews/curry/ with lamb and rosemary
and on home made bread bruschetta .

My favourite at the moment, I make a home made herb pasta (half wholemeal half 00 flour) cook, add sautéd mushrooms and toss in garlic butter and chillies then serve with a green salad.

Re: Garlic

I have read that nutritionally it does not amount to much except in flavour but medicinally its worth its weight in gold.

Re: Garlic

Have you tried ‘Lazy Garlic ‘? Comes in small jars, at the supermarket. Very convenient for some recipes.

Re: Garlic

I always have a bag or 3 of frozen chopped garlic in the freezer as well as a few bulbs sitting in the cupboard I use a lot of garlic, never enough that it seeps through the pores but enough that you can taste it

It enhances the flavour of so much food and it’s so very good for you

I also keep ginger in the freezer as well. Another vital ingredient in this household as I cook a lot of Chinese and Indian dishes and ginger and garlic are tantamount
