As for evidence - just look at the way the EU has treated workers in Greece and Italy.
I find it sad that someone like you from the "old left" is doing what identity politics snowflakes do and calls everyone who disagrees with them racists and neo-fascists.

Whoa, making a huge assumption that I'm a remainer, I'm not!!! - as you quite correctly indicate, those of us on the 'left' were and remain opposed to the Common Market, EEC, and EU from the day that grinning imbecile Heath signed the Treaty of Rome documents.

But that is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

If the Tories or Labour had wanted, immigration wouldn't have gotten out of hand.

And they will still be in control of it when we leave.

Maybe cutting off the nose but it has had the desired effect! After being ignored for many years the majority are finally being listened to even to the extent of trying to kick out British citizens who came here on Windrush.

Re: Referendum caused by 'austerity' policies.

Hi

The Politicians are just too remote from everyday life.

The ordinary person had years of being lectured to by Blair and then along came Cameron and Osborne who continued in the same vein.

The prosperity was not shared and hence the voters said no to the Government.
