Re: Recycling

We seem to have the easiest and most efficient system where I live. There are two bins, one for rubbish and one for recycling and they are collected on alternate weeks. What a hassle having multiple bins which inevitably will have some of the wrong things put in them thus contaminating the whole load.

The recycling is sorted out at a depot where they obviously know what is recyclable and what isn't. The only downside is they do not take glas which has to be taken to the supermarket car park as it some would smash when tipped into the back of a refuse wagon with all the other stuff.

Re: Recycling

We have a black bin for rubbish, green bin for food waste, brown bin for garden waste, a bag for mental and plastic, a bag for paper and cardboard and a blue box for glass.

The recycling is done each week, but the rubbish and garden waste is picked up on a fortnightly basis. There is no garden waste collection between December and March.
