As said by d00d, posting an animated gif is the same as posting any other image Aysa. Just upload it and it will show up in a web page as an animation. If linking to it from an image hosting site, place the link to the gif in a post and surround it with image tags. Like this:

Re: Animated gif's

BTW

I assume the "Any Gifs" thread in General Chat is just gifs found on the net, whilst this thread in Photos and Art is about our own work.

?

.... so today I'm going to copy mart's idea and make a gif - not from photos but from something, don't know what yet, I draw in Paint.net.

Re: Animated gif's

I did that one using 'Xara Photo & Graphic Designer' but it was so long ago I'd be hard pressed to say how.

I've opened it up in the program and it says there are 7 frames. I know I made the cogs originally by drawing the circles, then adding a 'v' (I think) of a certain font repeated many times and then joined to the perimeter of the outer circles. Then just a matter of rotating the 'cogs' on their axis by a few degrees and making frames of the new positions.

If I had to make that animation again, I'd have to think hard how to do it.

It certainly flows smoothly .... unlike mine. Call it work in progress.

See I could spend hours creating that and never get bored.
