Watched a very interesting program on BBC4 last night in bed, 'Light and Dark' and the presenter said that 99% of the universe is hidden from us, that is an awful lot of universe we know absolutely nothing about, anything is possible in my view.
They showed a great video clip of light moving through a bottle, slowed down to so many nanoseconds... the actual speed of light, fascinating.

I believe that Steve, the world is a living thing, it was born and it will die, it gets sick and repairs itself again. We are just a form of bacteria on it's skin that has to be kept in check, and natural disasters are probably it's defense against infection, who knows?
