Finding the right combination of help can be hard. Drugs, therapy, and the person all need to gel, and even then it can be a long road. Having someone they can trust is just as important to recovery, a friend indeed.

Well she has a lot of help now - giving me the time and concentration to concentrate on my ol' gal, that I love and care deeply for, she has dementia and her relatives live a 3 hour drive away, so its down to me and hubs to keep an eye on her ......

Patsy I believe depression can be part of dementia, my husband's aunt was told that when her husband had it. Nothing they can do about that at the time (10 years ago) but not sure what they do now. Worth looking into it though.

A little confusing for you, I'm leaving lady with depression, to those that now tend to her, except for phone calls to her.
My ol' gal, is the one we check on each day, she has dementia and you are right depression does play its part there too .....

Ah sorry wrong end of the stick there put it down to sleepless night (neighbour decided to make noises like chew bacca at 3am !! ).
