What are the chances?

In around six weeks we are due to fly off to Menorca for two weeks all bought and paid for. Any bets on whether we will be going or not?

Re: What are the chances?

I would think it very doubtful, EZ

We have written off our 2 week holiday in Devon in July this year so I don't think I would take the risk of an overseas holiday any earlier.

Re: What are the chances?

I would suggest this is unlikely EZ. I'd start looking into trying for a refund.

Re: What are the chances?

No chance of a refund yet. Only if the holiday is definitely cancelled which apparently has not been confirmed yet. I think the airline should refund the cost of the flight but my insurance company will..or should..refund the rest but not until cancellation is confirmed.

I believe that If your holiday has been cancelled by your holiday company then they have to refund you, same with your flight if they cancel you, and they do have to cancel you regardless if the foreign office advises all but esential travel to your destination country. We were due to travel to Italy in June with Jet2 but our holiday was cancelled and refunded by them last month...

Re: What are the chances?

Hi

Not booked anything, so no issues for me.

Long distance will be a nightmare.

Flight costs have gone ballistic.

I will be going to Poland later this year

I can self isolate with friends at no cost, they have a farm with fishing and then enjoy the local city

I will not be flying, I will drive, much safer.

I only need to sleep in the car for one night and to fill up once.

Twenty hours on a bad day

Sixteen hours if you pick your day and time

Wroclaw is well served by motorways.

Going to see Babcha Zosia is another 6 hours, it is a big Country.
