VE Day 8th May

I feel it should be kept low key with all that is going on at the moment .
It is alright for Queenie & Charles to be sending speeches from Windsor & Balmoral about how we will all be together again ,a lot won"t ,and that is a fact , don"t really see how that can bring comfort to folk.
Especially when the front line NHS are battling to get this virus under control.
Okay celebrate VE day but please make it very low key as we are battling ourselves in a different sort of way . So not really the time for singing in gardens & celebrating IMO .
Please show a little sensitivity for heavens sake .

Re: VE Day 8th May

It wont happen. People will be out in parks and other urban spaces celebrating and drinking as much as they can. Everyday someone in authority is telling the public to observe the lockdown and social distancing and every day we see pictures in the media of people ignoring that advice. Many people do not care, that's the problem. If people cared the country would not have all the kinds of problems it does.
