Quite possibly. He's even having to resort to a trip over here to have a chat with Charles and Camilla. Officially it's to celebrate the 80th anniversary of General Charles de Gaulle's appeal to the French population to resist the German occupation of France during WWII and award London some medal or other.

99% of goods are paid after delivery between 30 and 90 days. Do you think French suppliers would want to destroy their own businesses ?

No, I didn't think so
Hi

Really.

Border Controls are always at the Border, as is Immigration.

Any containers entering the UK with tariffs being paid are stored in a secure area and not released until Customs Duties have been paid.

We now have to deal with hundreds of thousands of ROROs, a completely different scenario.

Read the Government releases, you are not calling me a liar, you are calling them liars.

Since when did anyone go up to the border at an airport and ask for the immigration forms ? Immigration is done once you are in the country (according to the government web site in most cases you can only claim citizenship when you have lived here for over 3 years)

99% of containers coming into our country have duties paid electronically, the same with VAT, which is also done on line. Check out systems such as ICEGATE, Single Window etc.

RORO trucks coming into our country are under the UK's control - the same as everything else. Look at ports such as Felixstowe etc - they run much more efficiently that Dover and they deal with much more traffic from outside the EU. Its not a problem - Dover will be no different.

I thought you were supposed to be the expert on this ?

For large freighters it will probably more efficient, but for the average company importing goods from abroad the following tips are provided https://smallbusiness.co.uk/the-esse...lines-2544049/
* On arrival in the UK, the goods have to pass customs again – usually arranged by the shipping agent – and will be released when all duty and taxes are paid
* You’re advised to allow a week at either end to clear customs, plus actual shipping time.

Hi

Really?

Felixstowe is a Container Port.

Days and weeks to get the paperwork right.

It also has a huge storage area for those who do not not have the right paperwork.

RoRos are different, no such storage area at Dover or at the Eurotunnel.

Once again, you are not just calling me a liar, you are calling the Government a liar.

Absolute rubbish. Paper work takes minutes or an hour or so at the most. Your making things up again.

RORO trucks coming into our country are under our control like containers and everything else. Your trying to stir up anxiety in people nothing more.

I dont believe your fake CV one bit. You've never imported or exported anything in your life. There's more issues at Dover than any other port in the UK, most of it down to bad weather.

VAT systems like RES and VIES no longer include the UK. Making for more complications.
