Our Chancellor

Just found out today he’s only 39 yeas old !
Must be getting old when a chancellor could be my son.

Re: Our Chancellor

After listening to his budget speech, I now understand why Javid had to go. He surprised me with his extensive spending list and I recommend it to anyone looking for a better and fairer country

Re: Our Chancellor

It will only make up for years of cutting everything! He made it sound like it was wonderful!
I was just thinking it sounded good, then I thought, "Hang on a minute..."

Re: Our Chancellor

If lower paid people are being taken out of paying NI contributions, what happens when they claim State Pension and they haven't paid enough contributions?

Gordon Brown was the long-serving Chancellor in Tony Blair's long-serving Labour Government. He became PM after Teflon Tone stood down and Darling Alistair took his place in No. 11.

For any Brit or registered foreign workers not earning enough for NI contributions, the they will automatically receive NI credits until their income climbs high enough to warrant automatic contributions. For those on state benefits, they too receive credits for each claimed week.

And the worst in living memory IMO. He that raided pension schemes to shore up and pay for the Labour government's excessive spending, him that sold much of Britain's gold reserves announcing the fact before it went on sale thus making its value plunge so that it could be bought by speculators - one of his relatives included, and finally, when he did actually become PM, was terrible at that job too only surpassed by Theresa May a few years later.
