yes I can imagine how pleased he was.
Do you use a hot air fryer? they do fantastic fish and chips, crispy on the outside and soft inside

No, I don't have one but I wouldn't mind one. I fried it in a frying pan

Sue was dead against getting one no matter how I kept on at her. It wasn't until my son said how good they were she decided to get one, totally ignoring my saying for ages
Now she does a lot of cooking with it

No these just work in hot air

this is the make we have. the XL version

she put too many chips in at once

to give some idea of size and lolt cheaper to run electricity wise

I don't now much about cooking,if anything, but I know when something tastes far better than conventional methods

Re: A positive thing in your day

1) A neighbour said he will bring me some shopping in the morning.

2) A much missed old friend got back in touch to check I was alright.

3) Another neighbour phoned to see if I was alright.

4) Another friend also phoned and has managed to get me something I had been looking for for about a month.

4) My very frail, elderly dog finished every crumb of her supper tonight. This won't excite anyone else, but she has not been feeding well for some time, so it made my day.

So all in all, I would say I have had a positive day and I am happy.

Re: A positive thing in your day

Happy belated 70th birthday Susan.

Got more shopping for my sister and picked up a picnic chair in Halfords so she can sit in her bare lounge and watch tv. She has ordered new furniture, like me, but though I still have my old armchair recliner, she sold her own furniture a week or so ago and it was already collected. Add to that her flooring was taken up about a month ago, ready for her lounge to be decorated, and she had nothing to sit on bar a camp bed! Hardly ideal. She was quite grateful for the chair (and yes, she did pay for it, £7, plus her food shopping). (She is in 12 weeks s/isolation.)
