I am pleased to say, after spending the whole day messing around with the clock. l have now sorted it! I have shut the cockerel and the chick well and truly up!

That does work. I used one on my old pc.

Another method I sometimes use on smaller electrical items that are playing up is to place them inside a small plastic bag, then smash them as hard as possible against a brick wall. It's a sort of humane way of getting rid of them.

Doesn't your mobile phone have a clock on it? When I am away without my bedside clock I have that on the bedside table near me & if I wake in the night I can see what the time is, without even putting on the light.

Oh deep joy!! I've finally got rid of talking woman! Got no idea how it came about, just kept pressing the mode button, and shaking the sod. Oh, the fact that I sunk to my knees in prayer, might have something to do with it!
