I've had three so far.

They are scams, and there are a lot of them about.

For people over 75 on Benefits they will continue to get a free BBC licence, let's not lose sight of that.

I don't think anyone should have to pay for a TV licence when it serves only to fund a political organisation.

Re: TV licenses and the over 75s

I say that the system is unfair. If one is 75 and over, on benefits or pension credits, so they get it for free.
A person that is just living just on their state pension has to pay.
I know an over 75 person that is getting pension credits and a free licence, lives in a 6 bedroom house, with family, has quite a few bob. So the family also gets free TV.
Yes very fair.

Yes. Very fair because it would be an exception.

But it doesn't though. Admittedly BBC television is largely crap but the licence also partly covers the costs of so much more delivered by the Beeb.

Folks who are just beyond the fringe of anything, seem to be complaining a lot, lately.

I don't care what the BBC delivers, it is a political organisation.

I refuse to fund it.

I could understand the need for finances to support the transmission infrastructure, but not for a broadcaster or programme producer which puts out politically biased content and also pays its 'stars' a king's ransom for what they do when few people actually watch their programmes.

They don't have to compete for audiences, so they are at liberty to produce crap and biased crap.
