Gravy, your attitude is so condescending and you're so flipping rude, it amazes me anyone ever bothers to reply to any of your posts!
I have the patience of Job. But after having to make 40 responses on this thread alone I start to wonder why I bothered myself.

Some people need to think a little more before posting.

Re: British Asians' Knowledge of Our "Popular Culture".

Here's another interesting one.

He's not Asian but Big Narstie ( a Grime "artist"- it's a lot like Rap (another form of "music) with his own "talk show" on Ch4 and when he was on Would I Lie To You ( a comedy panel show) he said he'd never heard of the saying: red sky at night sailors delight. Red sky at morning...

He also asked David Mitchel (a comedian) "who did you say was the Prime Minister again". He had to be told it was Theresa May.

Is anyone going t tell me they didn't know about these either?

Nor had I heard of Big Narstie ,apparently his given name is Tyrone Lindo , a British rapper . So that’s why . I detest rap music with a passion .
I do watch Would I Lie To You although I’m not really into comedy ,they do have a lot of fun on it and the stories told can be hilarious . DM is team captain .

.... never saw him before either, fat, black, self-depreciation, seems to have carved out quite a niche for himself.
