I was reading about this the other day Pyxell and actually his painitings rarely come up for sale but there are many in private collections.Its interesting that as a young man he was befriended by Samuel Morgenstern a Jewish businessman who bought and sold many of his paintings .... his friendship did him no favours though as years later Samuel Morgenstern died penniless in a Jewish ghetto and his wife died in Auschwitz
