You could be right there, Judd. I certainly won't be buying any more. The ones I bought were not pre-packed supermarket ones - but from a stall in the market. They were unwashed, had that lovely flaky look to the skins - but were a big disappointment.

I like the local Pembrokeshire new potatoes. Although they are quite expensive at the moment, they do taste like new potatoes should taste...
I agree that the JR 's have lost their flavour recently.

Me too...I bought some as a treat from the local farm shop ...underwhelmed here too especially as they were 3 times the price of normal tatties

I agree Mal I buy them when staying in your beautiful county but I don't often see them in the shops around here these days.

Maybe I'm mistaken, perhaps it's too early for them to be distributed around the rest of the Country. They are currently £2.99 per lb ( over £6 per kilo)...
I believe that they are more available, (or more in demand) when the price drops. Probably the end of May / early June.
They are very nice, anyway....
