In Hot Water?

I was checking the timings, today, on my Central Heating,

I found that my Hot water setting was timed to come on, twice a day for 2 hours, week in week out.

Then I had one of those "light-bulb moments" when I realised that there was something there not making sense.

1) I don't often use the bath, preferring to take the shower.
The shower heats it's own water.

2) I wash the pots, in a dishwasher, which also heats it's own water.

3) The only time I need to have hot water is when using the hand washbasins.

So, I'm on a new plan.

I'm going to save a fortune by only heating the mains water once a day and, even then, for only a short period of time. I don't need boiling water to wash my hands - and cooling it down wastes heating money.

I'm going to get rich!

Good idea Ted and with the money you save you could buy a job lot of paper plates and simply throw them away after use. More savings!!

Well, I've probably saved 1 shilling (yes, remember shillings?) already!

I'll try for half a Crown tomorrow.
