could you see this ever happening in UK?

hard line muslim groups have threatened to shut down a Miss world pageant in Indonesia on the grounds of indecency and cultural inappropriateness and they will do it with force if necessary. You are a tolerant lot over there aren't you just!

I honestly can't see too many folk being upset over this particular incident MB, I mean Miss World stuff is pretty old hat these days don't yer think? and quite a few people view these pageants as sexist anyway

People have been campaigning against it for years all sorts of people, banned in many areas, so wonder why when Muslims complain it is suddenly news ?

I hope they do manage to put a stop to it - peacefully. I didn't know this type of cattle parade was still going.

Didn't I see a program on TV not long ago where some Afgan men get boys to dress as women and dance for them?
