Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Managed some washing - lovely day for drying it. Early Church, then back home to do a few jobs and make sandwiches. Big tea party at our Church this afternoon for the folk walking the Kilvert Pilgrimage. Annual event, they visit four of Rev. Francis Kilvert's Churches on a long trek over the hills.

Its lashing down here , cant say I'm sorry, its nice to be cool .
We have got lights in the corridor which come on and off as you walk down but something went wrong and a couple of times they came on but then at 4.15 am they flashed on every 10mins until it got light . I am knackered . Our handiman is sorting it (I hope !)

Has been pouring here too, but stopped now. Seriously slow broadband and after complaining a long visit from the BT engineer this morning. Poor soul was half drowned but eventually found the problem underground 150 yards from the next farm entrance up the road! Impossible for him to put right so now we're awaiting a visitation from a man with a digger!

Have had the boys all day. Did some cooking and played games all afternoon - think Jamie's grown during the day - he's taller than his Mum now and not far off his Dad.

Granddaughter came down yesterday with the twins. I don't see much of them these days and they are all lanky legs .I think they are more alike now .

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Heard some of that on Radio 2 Jac while grandson and I were on our way to pick up the laundry. I reminded him of the day we went to Swansea on the train and down to Mumbles on the bus - and he had a whopping icecream on the pier! (We managed to find an icecream today too!)

Have bought a maxi dress on ebay to go to this wedding in Canada and took it to a friend who has an overlocker to shorten this afternoon. She is a dear soul but can talk the hind leg off a donkey, so that was a longer expedition than I had planned. Now looking for a fascinator!
