Economics by a donkey!

Of course! Thank you for putting me right donkey. There is nothing of interest the UK can export to the EU. The EU has no interest in anything the UK is able to produce. Donkey economics indeed.

In post 80 you said:

hence my answering post 81. Didn't you make that connection?

She resigns the day after she has fulfilled her duty to receive that head of state. In many respects a rare politician.

IMO, a pointless exercise Solly!
The examples of eu interest in uk's so called exports were
meant to be ironic Solly, sorry if it was not obvious?
We know our own governments, ( note the plural ) have been
complicit in causing UK's decline! But that decline has been
accelerated by eu policies such as the common fisheries
policy etc !

It has been suggested to me, that May's resignation the day AFTER the Euro elections, is because someone has tipped her off just how disasterous the Euro election results will be.

Fact: in 1984 the UK was the third poorest country in the EU. In 2015 the UK was the fifth economic state as several on this forum have stated.
Reality: the UK has done well by it's membership of the EU.
