Re: The European Election: Results

Are the Greens and Lib Dems thick or what......They only received more votes because people had fallen out of love with Labour and Conservatives, and not necessarily because they want to remain in the EU.....

If farage and his tribe behave as is to be expected from them, they will annoy the other mep's so much that another extension by the end of oktober is denied.
What happens then is entirely a matter for the UK. Leaving without a deal or staying by revoking article 50, both is fine as far as the EU is concerned. If only you stop bothering mep's who are busy representing their countries.
You appear to be in the minority Solasch, I know a lot of Dutch people and they paint a very different picture than the one you paint......You wouldn't be on the old EU gravy train would you?...... You seem to know a lot about what goes on in Brussels....

The point is, they did NOT chose for the brexit party. Since this party has only one goal, it is obvious what those not chosing brexit party don't want. Simple logic.

Or......They just don't like Farage.....

You should do a poll of Lib Dem Voters, and you might find that not all Lib Dems are remainers.....

That's not so strange as it seems. This is what I picked up from british papers. Dutch papers refer to brexit and the UK as the example that prevented the rest of europe to make a shift to the right wing populists. Europe as a whole has (again) to thank you for saving them from nazi's.

That would infer that those chosing brexit party do so not because they are leavers but because they love farage so much.

Not so Solasch, the clue is in the name, 'The Brexit Party' whereas the Lib Dems have supporters regardless of the Brexit fiasco and have been around for many years after the Liberal and Democrat parties merged. Kind of ironic really that the democratic party have turned their backs on democracy....
