Amarican Style Toilet

My Plumber can't find a New Flush and Bomb for my heavily glazed vitreous enamel American 40-year-old toilet
Still looking very good.
Apparently, they are no longer used in UK as the use lots of water.
I find new Toilets are poorly glazed and quite small, especially for big men, but they suit me.

Very handy things to have when desperate. Nothing worse than only having one toilet in a house and guests visiting. Embarrassing jumping up and down waiting for your turn.

Not a problem here having a choice of 3 in our house

You could go for a Japanese type one instead

Funny you mentioned that, Azure. When a hurricane hit our place, one of the few things I was insistent on saving were the toilets for the same reasons you describe. New toilets are better, but for a good 15 year, the toilets here were great on saving water, but wouldn't flush anything.

Have you tried looking on US websites?

Our toilets here are generally set on 6Lts although they can normally be tweaked a little. A lot of them have dual flush buttons but I don't know anyone that doesn't just push both of them at the same time. Quite often you need to flush twice too.

Re: Amarican Style Toilet

I remember using one in France many years ago located
In on a dairy farm which consisted of what looked like a
Shower tray set in the floor of an outside building, which
had two foot shaped raised portions in the bottom of the
tray! There was an offset outlet to the rear of the tray!
I cant recall any flushing system, but l dont recall using
a bucket either? I did what l thought was the method to
use by standing on the footprints and assumed a slight
squat!
Has anybody come across this system as well, or any other
strange' to us ' system?

Regards Donkeyman!

The strangest I have seen (and I have mentioned this before) was a toilet with a seat that revolved after flushing. it was in a restaurant in Italy and not good after a few bottles of vino.
