Always squeeze the bottom! When my Nephew stays with me he always squeezes the middle-as soon as he goes home, I go and squeeze the toothpaste up so that the tube is all neat and tidy...sad, I know, but it has to be done!

Definitely toilet roll must hang with the next piece of tissue on the outside of the roll away from the wall. It is a well known fact that all the best toilets have their loo rolls hanging this way and also the last person to use it is responsible for folding the corners down to keep it neat and tidy for the next user.

I'm a middle squeezer I am afraid, too lazy to make sure I have a neat toothpaste tube.
Toilet paper does have to be coming over on the side nearest me, furthest from the wall though.

Another note re toothpaste: the cap has to be replaced after each use. I hate having to scrape off a dried blob before I use it!
