Well it's raining heavily here today so hopefully heading your way soon. I like the hot weather but the rain is very refreshing...

Roxy, I am also suffering with the humidity. The changes in temp gives me migraines and they are a real disability...

Also, be very careful as people fall a lot in this weather....

Light rain forecast here tomorrow afternoon but not much. I'm hoping it will stay clear for the eclipse.

Re: Just Not Right at All.

You know what really hacks me off is the fact I was a real sun lover until about ten years ago. I'd be out on the lounger for several hours every day that I could manage. Then one year I sallied forth as usual only to start to feel sick and dizzy after about a half hour, It happens now every time it gets hot, and I'm driven inside, I'd love to be outside just now, I can see so much that needs doing, yet here I am inside hoping that my head won't explode into a headache.

I absolutely hate it - it makes me lethargic and my concentration for anything more complicated than a cup of tea is totally zero!

According to the BBC (and would they lie to us?) we had better acclimatize as this is a taste of Summers to come for the next 20 years at least!

Roxy darlin' - Anno Domini has caught up with you. What you used to be able to do 10 - 20 years ago without even thinking about it, you'll find that you can no longer do as well or at all. Once you realise that, and come to terms with getting older you'll find it will get easier. As to coping with strong sunlight and excessive heat, get yourself an air - cooler. If you wait till the late autumn or Winter, the price of them will drop, but I can thoroughly recommend them. On Thursday afternoon/evening it was over 27oC here in my lounge, but I was supremely comfortable, as I sat in front of my air cooler which I had filled up with cold water from the fridge and a few ice cubes too and it was blowing cold air at me all afternoon/evening.

Take it with a pinch of salt, just as one swallow does not a summer make, nor will one event in every 40 yrs make a climate change.

The weather out side now is back to normal,I forgot just how cold a british summer really is
