I have listened to the music soundtrack of Queens Gambit on Spotify during my walks and it isn't a bad soundtrack and have added it to my playlist.

I must admit I was surprised how they actually made this series, but the storyline was close to home for me and saw quite a few similarities except of course this was a girls orphanage.
I have played Chess most of my life but never really bothered about tactics and various planned moved.
In my youth I defended well and attacked but was never playing for the long game that I suppose meant me thinking.
Yes it had me watching the games with a new keen interest.

Perhaps I ain't so old to learn the game properly.

Glad you enjoyed it LF. I didn't realise how seriously they took the game in Russia, crowds of people huddling around a board in the street, showing the moves. I also thought it was clever how they made the main actress look completely weird to start with but quite attractive in the end.
