3D Printing and Surgery!

Always amazes me how people think of other ways to use a technology that the makers themselves probably never considered. It appears now that 3D printing has a use in surgical proceedings.

Amazing ...

Re: 3D Printing and Surgery!

I was reading yesterday in the BBC's Focus magazine that they can print artificial eyeballs, with perfectly matching iris, for patients who have lost an eye. They can make 150 an hour and have reduced the cost from up to £3,000 to £100!
Brilliant magazine by the way!

Not ink Pats, it's a powder! I suppose the iris would be coloured with something though.
