Oh dear, thanks Mups.... so it's not good really is it? I mean I'm sure some members give out lots of personal info, perhaps in PMs, that might be being looked into if the site is insecure. It should really be secure on here.
It's rammed down our throats constantly about security on sites and not to give personal info out if it's insecure.

AZZ...Cooeeeee....

I wonder if that is why 'guests' can read our posts too?

Re: 'Your connection to this site is not secure'

Haven't they always been able to read the posts ie 'cos it's an 'open forum' rather than private.
I remember they were able to before I took my 'self imposed exile', or sabbatical or whatever it was
But I don't remember the site showing as being insecure then.

It just means we are using HTTP and not HTTPS - so long as you are using your own wifi (and not a public wifi spot that might be 'hacked') you should be fine

Bruce re the above, I know about the http and https, (yay! something I do know )... but I don't get the http or https, just:

www.over50sforum.com with i in a circle where the http/s should be.

I'm sure it wasn't like that before
It is just that browsers have become sparty pants and know that the http:// is always there so don't show it.

if you click on the address bar and copy it then paste it into notebook you will find that the http:// is actually there, just not shown.

You might have noticed that if you type in an address into the address bar you only need to type in www.bcl1947.blogspot.com.au/, the http:// is a given and the browser adds it automatically.

It's unlikely that your home wifi has been compromised/hacked. Possible, but unlikely.

Tip: don't let anyone you don't trust onto your wifi or give then your routers passwords.

Is there a reason you do not use HTTPS, Azz?
