Which (as Sufermom correctly points out) means that everybody who doesn't need prescription medicines is subsidising those that do via their taxes.

For someone like myself that didn't need any regular medication until I was over fifty years old that could equate to a fair old sum.

And that is what is paying for your current medication now....so tell me what is wrong with that? people get older, people get sick as they get older...I don't mind paying into a pot for the future via taxes. I'd rather have that than be asked if I have insurance as soon as the ambulance draws up.

P.S. Its just not older people who get sick, either, despite my comment.

Yes and regarding the welsh getting things for free, goes back to the dark ages, we don't mind. Unlike scotland, they are no embarrassment.
