Yes and this goes for 'wums' too. It takes great skill to constantly incite yet not to appear inciteful .

Gonna be one of them nights me thinks .

A pussy cat in a WUP clothing maybe Mark

I don't know why people get so upset by Trolls, no one has to reply to them , if ignored they get bored and go away .

Re: Trolls

Trolls post controversial remarks just to get a reaction, the best thing to do is just ignore them.

Re: Trolls

They should not be tolerated and mods should deal with them swiftly IMO sadly too many forums allow them to really hurt existing members and people leave forums before they get sorted out. Leaves a trail of hurt people who really do not deserve to be left to defend everything they say from these people. We wouldn't leave anyone in real life to deal with a bully alone would we ? so why tolerate it on forums ?

WUMs, in my experience, are generally not malicious - trolls are.

I suppose it depends on who is the target; if it's someone who struggles with negativity being aimed at them, it will upset them and not replying doesn't always stop the comments.

I do think the mods should step in when things start becoming personal and repetitive and when it becomes clear that a particular FM is being singled out - especially when two or more start targeting someone as happened on this forum.

Re: Trolls

To be honest .. trolls or WUMs really don't bother me ...
The ones that are annoying to me are sneaks or snakes lol ...
They join the forum for a day or two .. .. to protect their friends ... then they disappear ..
The trolls or wums they cause trouble .. but you know who they are ...
They are not totally hiding behind a key board ..
You have a choice .. you can ignore them ...

I think that about sums it up too BV. WUMS taunt people , hoping for a reaction.
Trolls are very vindictive and evil to their targets.
You see it times in the papers about kids killing themselves because of constant bullying by these internet trolls. That's not the same as a WUP merchant at all.
I can put up with the WUMS, easy enough to ignore, but trolls need stopping before they get in their stride too far.
