Almond essence would, I would imagine, go just as well with Blackberries as it does with sloes Jean darlin'.

Yes, I should think it would UJ, it's only a tiny amount, about 1 teaspoonful I believe. (Need to refresh my memory again).
Made some rather splendid Blackberry Brandy a couple of years back too. Mmmmmm. . .
