Very interesting experiment, I don't think too many of us believe in 'ghosts' but a lot of people will admit to having unexplained experiences or thinking the spirit of a loved one was near after a bereavement. This goes some way towards explaining this.

Regardless of the "evidence" there will be those who continue to believe in the supernatural.

I believe in the supernatural. I don't believe in such a thing as a "ghost". Casper is a " ghost".

Yes there will, but then people have believed in the supernatural since human beings first existed.

For some it's a great comfort to believe that the spirit of a loved one is around and if that helps them why not.

Well Alan we are all entitled to believe what we like and the scientists in the article did say “Ghosts are PROBABLY just an illusion created by the mind” was it not the scientists of the day who told us that the world was flat not a million years ago and no probably about it.

Scientists once told people the world was flat and that the Earth was the centre of the solar system.

I'm not sure what a ghost is, but have a theory it's a bit Doctor Who like and that there is a time rift. In other words the time we live in isn't the only one. Sometimes different 'times' interact and we see a 'ghost'. The 'ghost' also sees a 'ghost' and that ghost, is us.

Now you all think I'm bonkers , I have seen a ghost whilst on holiday in Cyprus. He was stood in the doorway of our hotel room and was just watching us. It was a Tuesday at about 1.00am and it was there for about 10 minutes. I didn't see it again until the same time the following Tuesday and the same happened again; he just stood there.

I was with my girlfriend at the time, but I didn't wake her or even tell her until the flight home. It might have scared the living daylights out of her.

Never seen one before or since.
