To Tip or Not

I've just taken delivery this morning of a new lounge suite. The two guys assembled it all for me and placed it exactly where I wanted it. It was all done and dusted in about 20 minutes.

Now my dilemma was do I tip the guys knowing already I'd paid £75 to have it delivered?

What would you have done?

Hmmm......this is always a dilemma for me too, especially when delivery has been paid for. Me, personally, would slip them an extra note each.

The delivery charge would go to the company, not the delivery men and, as they set it all up for you, which was probably not part of their job, I'd have also given them enough for a couple of pints each.

I am a mean old so-and-so , I don't tip anyone. I have worked hard all my life working long hours for small wages and no one has ever given me a tip.
I would have given the men a cup of tea and a slice of home made cake though

I always tip my hairdresser .......also used to give the milkman, dustman and paperboy a Christmas box. That was me just following in my mother's footsteps. Now it's just the hairdresser!

We tip the gasman, the postman and the binmen though God knows why as they get very good wages, the binmen, I mean.

I always tip if they do a good job when they deliver anything to my house. If they act like they hate their job or take that hate out on me, I won't. So I guess I tip depending on that!

I do tip sometimes , It depends on the attitude of the people concerned.
